Alex has over a decade of experience working on government crisis preparedness, including at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s Crisis Management Department and Global Affairs Canada’s Emergency Management and Security Division.

Alex has worked with multiple governments and agencies in the UK, Europe, the Arctic, the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. He has led teams delivering frontline crisis responses and response teams at headquarter offices. This has included accidents, pandemics, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, international evacuations and geopolitical crises.

Particular areas of expertise include counter-terrorism, climate change, and embedding crisis learning.
